From Letters to Lumens is a visual commentary on the transformation of romantic communication in the digital age. Through a landscape of geometric abstraction and a network of luminescent connections, this piece captures the cold, algorithm-driven nature of modern dating. Each illuminated node and fractured surface mirrors the complexities and illuminated moments of digital encounters, reflecting the paradoxical search for warmth in the pixelated planes of online spaces.
Couple-ish is a new canadian produced LGBTQ web series. It's about Dee, a bisexual, non-binary Canadian illustrator, who finds themselves locked into a lease they can’t afford. With the help of younger sister Amy, Dee thinks they find the perfect new roommate in Rachel, a queer British bartender. The challenge here was to create promotional posters that would convey the characters unique personalities. We also made the posters complimentary to increase collect-ability.
The 3M VHB Tape campaign artfully magnifies the brand's pivotal role in redefining modern construction paradigms with compelling visuals. By harmonizing the technical prowess of 3D modeling with the refined aesthetics of graphic design, the project illuminates the transformative quality of the tape. It unveils the seamless integration and dual advantages it offers to architectural structures: enhancing both their visual allure and functional integrity. The cleverly crafted illustrations bring to life the tape as an indispensable facilitator of state-of-the-art, avant-garde building methods.
In addition to establishing the UX foundations, I contributed significantly to business-to-business (B2B) engagements, designing a web page optimized for conversion, serving as a critical touchpoint for prospective partners. My involvement with the product extended beyond the digital surface; I embraced the possibilities of additive manufacturing to construct the initial product prototype. This process not only expedited the development phase but also allowed for a seamless transition into creating marketing materials, leveraging the 3D models for visual consistency across all collateral. In my tenure as a digital designer for Branton, a London-based design firm known for its industrial clientele, including names like McCormick and 3M, my challenge was to elevate their brand presence. The assignment: to conceive and develop brand treatments that resonate with the robust nature of industrial manufacturing yet convey the innovative spirit of the design firm.
At Ill Broken Entertainment, my role as the in-house designer was a deep dive into the brand's ethos, driving its evolution and sharpening its identity in the entertainment landscape. My creative tenure was marked by designing a suite of merchandise that became synonymous with the brand, art directing photo shoots that captured the raw, authentic essence of Ill Broken, and conceptualizing banners that demanded attention. Each marketing piece I created was not just a design but a strategic vehicle to elevate the brand's presence, making sure that every visual interaction was an echo of Ill Broken's unique narrative.
In collaboration with a close friend, this piece springs from a static canvas into a vibrant, breathing animation. Melding their original art with my digital alchemy, we've created a fluid dance of color and form, igniting the artwork with motion. Each frame is a testament to the synergy of friendship and the shared vision that art should not just be seen, but felt and experienced
